Elf-human hybrids, of Elf origin, have caused fear and suspicion in both races. As passionate creatures, Aylves are often driven by extreme emotions, and imbalances in their blood more often lead them to madness. In ancient times, people believed that the descendants of humans and elves were the carriers of chaos. These creatures with no soul but only spirituality would be gradually devoured by crazy demons as they grew up. Although no definitive cure for the Ailph curse has been found, magic tattoos are often applied to Ailph children to maintain their sanity. Since the turning point, an unprecedented number of Aylves are said to have gathered in the wilderness, far from the sight of elves and humans, trying to build a new society of their own. Elf people do not have the immortality characteristics of either race-they age like mortals, but they cannot reproduce.
